Located in County Kerry on a beautiful stretch of sand dunes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, two challenging and unique world class links golf courses – the Old Course and the Trent Jones. Always rated in the world's top courses by Golf Digest.
The “home” of golf is across the Irish Sea, but its soul surely lies at Ballybunion Golf Club Old Course in County Kerry Ireland! No other course in the British Isles combines such spectacular golf with holes that are still fun and playable for the average golfer as does the incomparable and famous Old Course at Ballybunion. Challenge the corner of the cemetery on the first and give new meaning to “do or die.” Work your way out to the sea and Ballybunion Golf Club’s roller-coaster 11th, tumbling 3 tiers along the cliffs. In our opinion, this incredible par-4 is nothing less than the finest hole on earth. A bit later in the round, climb to the Ballybunion Golf Club’s 17th tee, the tallest dune on the Old Course, where a bench with “CTH” inscribed on it sits.
This is in honor and memory of a popular deceased member who used to stand there and remark “this is the Closest to Heaven I’m ever going to get!” We certainly think that Ballybunion Golf Club Old Course might well be the closest to heaven as a golfer can get on this Earth. It is simply sensational and can’t be missed on a golf tour to Ireland.

Castlerock Golf Club, is a classic links course set amid towering dunes. Situated on the Causeway coast and only a 20 minute drive from both Royal Portrush Golf Club and Portstewart Golf Club, Castlerock is a more than worthy neighbor to both of these great Irish links. Awarded Ireland's "Hidden Gem" for Links Golf on the North Coast.

Wide fairways and light rough are features of Fota Island, but don't let this lull you into a false sense of security. The course can be stretched to 6,927 yards and with par set at 71 for men (72 for ladies), it represents a very tough but fair challenge. And, considering its relative youth, it appears mature beyond its tender years. Bunkering is relatively moderate, but water is a significant hazard, so take enough balls just in case your game is not on song.
Our favorite hole at Fota Island is the unique par five 10th, which tunnels down through trees before turning sharply left, leaving an approach to a green which is cut into the lakeside. The 18th is a memorable conclusion and it's also a potential card-wrecker. In a similar vein to the Belfry's 18th, water is in evidence, but it's the multi-tiered green that can present all sorts of problems – there's nothing worse than ending up in possible four-putt country.
Undoubtedly the remodeled Fota Island is a tremendous course, which comes highly regarded by the serious golfing connoisseur. Fortunately, four separate teeing areas make the course eminently playable for the handicap golfer, so whatever you do, don't give Fota Island a miss.

Waterville Golf Links is laid out on an isthmus of natural dune-land, bordered on its western flank by the Wild Atlantic Ocean, its Northern boundary by the Inny river, its Eastern verge by the Inny Estuary, and on its Southern margin with native bogland. This unique site location ensures a complete and unspoilt visual and audible environment– affording a unique tranquillity that is unmatched in golf.
The towering dune-land, and the genial course layout, assures that each hole is set apart from one another, while the natural dune flora frames the fairways and greens with pictorial and sensory delight. The Irish Hare is our most noticeable inhabitant of the links, and sits proudly as our course emblem, but keep a look out for our many other inhabitants – there are over fifty different species of birds alone that inhabit or frequent the links on a regular basis.

Old Head Golf Links is built on a 220-acre diamond of land jutting out over two miles into the Atlantic Ocean. The promontory is almost an island with numerous caves running beneath your feet as you play the course. The links and practice area occupy 180 acres and the remaining 40 acres of unspoilt cliff frame the course. It is a piece of golf real estate like no other, that causes many a golfer and visitor to pinch themselves as they drive through the ancient gateway with the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean some 300 feet below.
The sensory overload does not stop there with the journey along the fragrant Hydrangea and Rosa Rugosa lining the Old Head driveway providing stunning vistas across the superbly manicured golf course, with the powerful ocean on both sides and beyond the famous lighthouse that lies in front.
