Located in County Kerry on a beautiful stretch of sand dunes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, two challenging and unique world class links golf courses – the Old Course and the Trent Jones. Always rated in the world's top courses by Golf Digest.
The “home” of golf is across the Irish Sea, but its soul surely lies at Ballybunion Golf Club Old Course in County Kerry Ireland! No other course in the British Isles combines such spectacular golf with holes that are still fun and playable for the average golfer as does the incomparable and famous Old Course at Ballybunion. Challenge the corner of the cemetery on the first and give new meaning to “do or die.” Work your way out to the sea and Ballybunion Golf Club’s roller-coaster 11th, tumbling 3 tiers along the cliffs. In our opinion, this incredible par-4 is nothing less than the finest hole on earth. A bit later in the round, climb to the Ballybunion Golf Club’s 17th tee, the tallest dune on the Old Course, where a bench with “CTH” inscribed on it sits.
This is in honor and memory of a popular deceased member who used to stand there and remark “this is the Closest to Heaven I’m ever going to get!” We certainly think that Ballybunion Golf Club Old Course might well be the closest to heaven as a golfer can get on this Earth. It is simply sensational and can’t be missed on a golf tour to Ireland.

Greg Norman designed course at Trump International Golf Links Doonbeg is a stunning sight to behold and offers views of the Atlantic from 16 of 18 holes. In line with Norman’s philosophy of ‘least disturbance’, the most natural route was taken in laying the course out through the sand dunes. As a result, the course has a unique combination of five par 3s and five par 5s.

Lahinch Golf Club is a links golf course in western Ireland, in the town of Lahinch on the northwest coast of County Clare in northern Munster. It is situated approximately thirty-two kilometers northwest of the town of Ennis. Golf Digest ranked the Old Course at Lahinch #65 on their list of the world's greatest golf courses.
It was founded 132 years ago in 1892 by Alexander W. Shaw and Richard J. Plummer, officials of Limerick Golf Club. They laid out an 18-hole course, the original course had ten holes on each side of the road. It has been described as the "St. Andrews" of Ireland.
The original links was laid out by Old Tom Morris; Alister MacKenzie, who co-designed Augusta National Golf Club, redesigned the Old Course and extended the links in 1927 for a fee of £2000. Lahinch is actually two 18-hole courses, the Old Course, is between the road and the sea, situated at the opposite side of the road from the Old Course is the Castle Course. The Castle Course is a flatter links named after the ruins of a nearby castle tower that stands to the north of the course.[5] One unusual feature of the Old Course is the presence of goats which are allowed to roam freely across the course. They were originally owned by a caddie who lived near the course, and in 1956 a goat was incorporated into the club's logo.[6]
Lahinch Golf Club is home to the South of Ireland Championship, an amateur golf tournament which began in 1895. Notable winners include Joe Carr in 1969, Darren Clarke in 1989, Paul McGinley in 1991 and Graeme McDowell in 2000. Ireland's Pádraig Harrington finished runner up on two occasions.
Lahinch Golf Club hosted the 2019 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, which was played on 4–7 July. The tournament was hosted by Paul McGinley and won by Jon Rahm

Waterville Golf Links is laid out on an isthmus of natural dune-land, bordered on its western flank by the Wild Atlantic Ocean, its Northern boundary by the Inny river, its Eastern verge by the Inny Estuary, and on its Southern margin with native bogland. This unique site location ensures a complete and unspoilt visual and audible environment– affording a unique tranquillity that is unmatched in golf.
The towering dune-land, and the genial course layout, assures that each hole is set apart from one another, while the natural dune flora frames the fairways and greens with pictorial and sensory delight. The Irish Hare is our most noticeable inhabitant of the links, and sits proudly as our course emblem, but keep a look out for our many other inhabitants – there are over fifty different species of birds alone that inhabit or frequent the links on a regular basis.

Instituted October 1, 1896, Tralee Golf Club opened its present Arnold Palmer-designed course for play at Barrow in October 1984, after moving from its nine-hole course at Mounthawk near Tralee.
“I have never come across a piece of land so ideally suited for the building of a golf course," said Arnold Palmer. Tralee Golf Club was his first Irish endeavour and it opened in 1984; it’s a rugged and exhilarating creation. Now, let’s be honest, Kerry is a very special county, the ‘Lake District’ of Ireland, an unspoilt, quiet and romantic place. Surely anybody could design a golf course in these surroundings. Well, first of all we might need to remind ourselves that Palmer wasn’t exactly a run-of-the-mill golfer and when he turned his attention to design, he always wanted to choreograph a links course in Ireland. When the opportunity arose, he wasn’t going to mess it up, was he?
Palmer (and his associate, the late Ed Seay) designed a course that will stimulate the senses every bit as much as the enchanting and breathtaking scenery. According to folklore, Palmer created the first nine and Mother Nature did the rest. The front nine at Tralee Golf Club plays across fairly level links land, but the majority of the holes hug the coastline, and the ground is elevated, affording magnificent views from the cliff top across Tralee Bay to the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The back nine plays through mountainous dunes with fearsome carries across ravines to plateau greens.
